I'm a versatile and experienced freelance advertising and digital media copywriter, scriptwriter and language practitioner based in Cape Town, South Africa.
I'm fluent in English and Afrikaans, and proficient in Portuguese, French and Dutch, was born in Washington DC and am a former resident of Utrecht, The Netherlands.

I recently edited a paper by the micro-credit pioneer and Nobel Peace Prize winner Prof. Muhammad Yunus, have served as a film production manager, and have completed my first full-length feature screenplay.
Presently, my work comprises website text and information architecture, banner ads, search engine optimisation content, newsletters, one-page proposals, scripts for audio-visual presentations and music videos.
Curious and resourceful, I often research organisations, sectors and subjects to fill in the blanks. My interests include strategic alliances, building communities, project management, social networks, giving, and the future of the planet.
I've worked as a freelance and full-time writer, for agencies and directly for clients. Having experience in a variety of products and markets, I actively seek mutually beneficial work relationships.
Warning: I often finish other people's coffee, with or without their consent.
I also write television, radio and print ads, brochures, direct mail and newsletters. I name businesses and products and write slogans, one-page proposals, media releases as well as business and people profiles.
I source news, conduct interviews, translate, edit academic papers, write and edit newspaper articles, and write educational material, poetry and books for young readers.
